Two Daughters of Charity Sent on Mission!

During our provincial meetings in July, 2 Daughters of Charity were sent on mission. The top photo is Sr. Salvatrice Murphy being sent on mission for the first time from the Basilica of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Emmitsburg, MD. She is missioned to the local community just across the creek and will serve as a licensed social worker at Seton Center.

Here is Sr. Jean Widener being sent on mission from Mater Dei in Evansville, Indiana. Sr. Jean is a teacher and will teach at a Catholic school in Evansville.

Many Daughters of Charity were gathered at both locations and joined in on the wonderful celebrations in gratitude for these 2 wonderful vocations with which we have been blessed by the Lord. We pray that they may continue to grow closer to Christ and that they are continually renewed in their first enthusiasm and that this great step in faith that they have taken may boost each of us in our vocation also.
