Virtual Vincentian Gathering

There will be a virtual conference on systemic change to combat poverty. Check out this site for details: Join in for the information and to give your own input!
The Vincentian Family officially includes the Daughters of Charity, the Sisters of Charity, the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentians), the Vincent de Paul Society, and the Ladies of Charity to name a few. It can include you too if you desire to serve Christ in the persons living in poverty and marginalized by society. Check it out!

Schedule:Hour 1: Local groups meet to view CJ Willie’s presentation, “Perspectives on Systemic Change in North America”
Hour 2: Groups in various locations watch Gene Smith moderate an online discussion with a panel of 5 participants
Impressions from Last Year’s Gathering
View a series of short video interviews with participants from across the Family as they talk about their experiences at the Detroit Gathering of April 2009.

I'm sorry to say I will miss the "virtual gathering" since I will still be in my annual retreat!

Also, if you want to do something concrete to help someone work their way out of poverty in Haiti go to to make a donation or loan money through micro-financing through the Vincentina Family organization.
